STAGE OUTFITS  (26.05.08)

Hi Elkie, I just love coming to see your amazing
talent as much as I can. I always wondered
where or who you get those beautiful dresses
from? You always look so stunning! Please
keep doing what you do, you are truly amazing!!!
Much love, Gillian x

Elkie: Hi Gillian, the dresses are often chosen
by a lovely lady called Aldene Johnson who
picks out and sends me suitable items. Other
than that I often shop in places such as
Cheltenham, London and Manchester for frocks
when we are touring. I have a lovely brown dress,
which John the merchandise guy spotted on a
recent trip to London.

CANADIAN DATES? (26.05.08)

Hi Elkie, any plans on coming to Canada to perform? I was listening to one of your albums recently ('Shooting Star') and after checking out your website realised you were still performing. Am I dreaming or did you have a brother who had a hit record?

Merv Winter

Elkie: Hi Merv, thanks for the email. I would love to visit Canada and play for you over there and you never know we may get round to it one day. My younger brother used to play drums for Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas but he was not a solo artist.
Hope you are well,

Elkie x

TELL HER  (26.05.08)

Hi Elk, my favourite (non-commercial) song of yours is the self penned "Tell Her". I know the songs in your concerts are pre-chosen, but when you come to Kent next (the Marlowe) could you slip this song in? I will be  there, fingers crossed.
Love as always, Derek

Elkie: Hi Derek, do you know I can barely even remember that song? I will dig it out and have a listen. However, I try not to put in too many old obscure numbers these days as we have too much fun playing the rock and blues ones.
See you at The Marlowe!

'ELECTRIC LADY' SONGS  (26.05.08)

Hi Elkie, I saw you at The Stables and you were fantastic as always! You looked amazing too. Thanks so much for a great show. Do you ever sing 'Trailer Trash' and 'He's So Good Looking' live as they are two of my very favourite tracks? I have been completely addicted to the 'Electric Lady' CD since its release and I think it has taken up permanent residence in my car CD player. I would so love to hear you sing those two songs live. Keep on rocking - you are just fabulous.
Lots of love,
Sherree (Box Office Assistant at The Stables)

Elkie: Hi Sherree, thanks for the email. To be honest I don’t think we have ever done “So Good Looking” or “Trailer Trash” live.  During the 'Electric Lady' tour in 2005 we did a good few numbers such as “Back Away”, “Muddy Water Blues” and “The Brighter Side”. Perhaps in the future we may try some of the others? Keep up the good work at the Stables, we always enjoy playing there.

REALITY TV  (26.05.08)

Dear Elkie, what I would really like to know is: If you haven't already been asked by the promoters, would you appear at the Isle of Wight Festival? And if asked by the BBC would you take part in "Strictly Come Dancing"  and if you did how do you think you would fare?
Your loyal fan,
Martin Bridges

Elkie: Hi Martin, I have not been asked to play the Isle of Wight Festival. It would be fun, though I do believe we are playing the Isle next February. We had such a lovely trip last time we could not resist coming back.
As for reality TV, I did it once and do not really think it is my ‘thing’. Out of all the reality shows out there I believe I would fare best on “Dancing On Ice”. I was a mean skater as a child and can still hold my own on a skating rink!

Take care,
Elkie x
